About the ClubThe Berkeley Enthusiast’s Club was founded in 1963 as a replacement for the Berkeley Sports Car Club, which was organised to promote Berkeley cars in sporting events. From the very beginning the club was run with the manifesto of keeping Berkeley’s running on the roads. Initially this took the form of keeping owners in touch with each other, keeping a source of spares, technical literature and even helping to develop and update the various models. In recent years, all 3 and 4 wheeled Berkeley models have become recognised as classic cars and the emphasis of the club is now on helping members to restore cars to original specification. The old ‘transitionary’ period has not been forgotten however, and the club has a contingent of members with modified cars. The club has a steadily growing membership in excess of 300 members nationwide, with additional members overseas in many parts of the world. On receipt of your membership and enrolment fees you will be able to take advantage of the following services offered by the club. 1. Monthly newsletters are posted to all members. These
contain a diary of events and articles involving Berkeley’s, microcar and
other transport related events. The latest news items on Berkeley’s and club
matters. Members letters and technical tips. Free advertisements for cars
and parts. Details of the latest spares sources and restoration services.
The newsletter also lists the when and where of local gatherings. |
