Joe Ferrero's Senior Design Project

According to "Road and Track" in 1958, a 1959 Berkeley could reach up to 58 mph with a fuel economy of up to 44 mpg. A modified Berkeley is the aim of this project has a target goal of reaching a target of 70 miles per gallon at 55 miles per hour with the capabilities of maintaining modern highway speeds. The vehicle is a convertible, and a hard top is needed to reduce drag for fuel efficiency. Check out Joe's web site for more information on the progress of his project.

It is more correctly known as a Berkeley SE492, 'Sports' 492, Type 492 or "Twosome".
